Day 362, Wind's Up!

This is what Lake Michigan looks like when there's a high wind warning and the winds are coming out of the west. It was hard to hold my ground standing on the beach. We've seen some rain today but the snow hasn't started yet. Temps are falling though. It won't be long before the 6-10 inches of snow in the forecast starts to pile up.

  1. Love the photos of this lighthouse, and this one is really special!

I think you should put all the photos of this lighthouse into a collage or one post, it would be so much fun looking at them all in one place.

With that storm coming, be careful out there.

  2. You can really see the power of the wind. It's a wonder that the lighthouse isn't damaged.

I hope the forecasters are wrong and you only get enough of the white stuff to be pretty.

  3. Wow, that is some powerful winds . . . glad you were able to capture this and stay safe too . . . be safe if you get more bad weather. Love your lighthouse photos . . . I agree with Carol, would make for a wonderful collage or book too.

  4. St Joseph didn't end up getting all that much snow. Most of it fell farther inland. However, they did get a few inches and several hours of blizzard-like conditions from the wind coming off the lake.

Thank you for the suggestion about showcasing my lighthouse photos. I just may do that! I worry sometimes that others may get tired of seeing the same lighthouses again and again. I never tire of taking pics of them. And I do plan to photograph more Lake Michigan lighthouses this year. Stay tuned!
