If one were to look only at the verdant green grass, one might think it was May. But November has cometh. The children who played along these banks all summer long have been back at school for months now.
Most of the trees have shed their leaves. The yellows, oranges, and reds have gone, for the most part, and what leaves are left are shades of bronze and chocolate brown.
Long shadows dot the landscape even at midday. The Thanksgiving holiday will be here in just over 3 weeks and then will come the cold and snowy winter months. It's a good time to take in the green grass, the blue flowing water, and the touches of golden brown leaves still left on the trees. The landscape will have an entirely different color palette soon.
